How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in The Science Academy STEM Magnet.

 

The application process for all LAUSD Magnet schools begins by completing and submitting the eChoices Application form. Application period opens early October and closes early November.

 

During the application period, we encourage prospective students and their parents to TOUR OUR CAMPUS to visit classrooms, labs, and extracurricular facilities during instructional time.  

 

After the application period has closed, ALL prospective students, will take a mandatory assessment test, regardless of other criteria. Applicants will be notified via email of their assessment day and time. Students will be tested from among the following LIST OF TOPICS. 

 

Following the assessment test, LAUSD will notify applicants of their eligibility to continue on to the Magnet Lottery. All eligible students will then be selected from the Magnet Lottery according the LAUSD’s Magnet criteria.

You will be notified of your eligibility to continue in the magnet lottery process.

You will be notified of your acceptance status the following spring.
